Vanilla Walk Cycle

I made this animation for my Technical Character Animation class at Carnegie Mellon University. It was created using Aurodesk Maya 2017, and rendered with Maya's Arnold Renderer.

This walk cycle was created for an assignment that was meant to teach us the mechanics of the walk cycle, including the key poses of a walk cycle, emphasizing hip movement, and the basics of Maya rendering. We used the bottom half of the Buckid rig, a free rig that is available from many places on the internet. Using the rig, we keyed the key poses of the walk the cycle into our rig, then blocked out each pose individually, and fine-tuned them to flow evenly into a basic-but-appealing walk cycle.

This project took about three days to complete.
